Emotional Freedom Technique
Emotional Freedom Technique also known as ‘tapping’ is a wonderful self-help tool which can be used for a variety of psychological issues including anxiety/stress, phobias, addictions, implementing positive goals and even reducing pain. Based on the same energy meridians as used in Traditional Chinese Medicine i.e. acupuncture but without the needles, the Client gently taps certain points on the upper body and face whilst thinking about a specific issue.
This interferes with the neural pathways from body to brain which had been previously set into a negative pattern thus helping to clear emotional barriers and restoring a more positive mind/body balance. Other techniques may also be used depending on the issue using Neuro-Linguistic Programming which when combined with EFT can help resolve issues more quickly and effectively.
